I’ve been out of the tarantula scene for a while now, but I’m getting back into it. What are everyone’s preferred shipping options for tarantulas? Is everyone still using overnight FedEx and UPS, are there other recommended services

I use an insulated box, deli cup or vial with lightly dampened paper towels for the tarantula, and shredded paper bags to secure everything inside the box. I will only ship overnight to a FedEx hub as well.

Would you recommend against shipping directly to an address then these days someone mentioned shipyourreptiles a shipping service but that seems to incur more cost then just using regular fedex

Pro tip: Create a MorphMarket account to save on shipping. Once you’re approved, you could buy and create a label right on the site. It never has been so easy!

I recommend shipping to the hub to avoid DOA’s. Being tossed around in a truck that isn’t climate controlled greatly increases the chance of death for whatever you’re shipping.
