Hey all,
I got a rescue T that I have named Spartacus. I found it in a mainstream pet shop where the staff told me the previous owner could not take care of it for some ominous reason. Because of the very bald patch on its kiwi butt, I felt for it since it seemed bald due to stress rather than premolt (It's been a voracious eater since taking it). Spartacus' personality is very defensive. It tries to flick hairs and has gone for my tongs twice, hence the name.
I went to a reptile store here in Taiwan which sells Ts and asked them about the species. they believe Spartacus is a Tliltocatl Albopilosus. it seems a little non-chunky to be this species? and the defensive nature seems to be a little more than a personality trait. In the pet shop, there was a Tliltocatl Albopilosus that looked very different to Spartacus - younger but chunkier and hairier.
I just wanted to confirm if Spartacus is a Tliltocatl Albopilosus or a different species altogether.
