Me too. I wasn't a big fan of his music, but I absolutely adored him as a person. This is a very, very sad day.

When he was married to a Torontonian - they lived just down the street from where I live now. I wasn't living here at the time, though. The Post Road is one of the most affluent areas of the city. I drive through there all the time on my way downtown. My area is very nice, but not as affluent as that area.

My ex loved this guy. I liked a few of his songs, he was a unique little fellow. Never was mainstream was he? That's a statement in itself.
He did a bit in mainstream. Mostly was known for giving the big record labels the finger and doing his own thing. Loved his music. Most of it anyway. We did our own farewell Friday night and downed a few (too many) brews while listening to our favorite songs of his.
