Question Regarding the Smallest Mason Jars as Enclosures for Slings

Would the smallest Mason jars be acceptable as housing for slings?
I would not go for the smallest...this is what I use:

FWIW, I've had Ts rip that fabric covering the vent holes in those lids, I only use those lids temporarily now

Yeah I try to shy away from vessels with air tight seals because I dont want to even accidentally seal anyone up!
Deli cups work well or tupperware with drilled permanent ventilation if you wanna get fancy

Would it be acceptable to pluck holes into the lid of a mason jar?
You could, but I'd be concerned about sharp metal.

There are so many plastic enclosure options on the cheap, tho
