Is it true that the ncf G. rosea in the hobby are and have been accidentally classified as G. porteri and that G. porteri is actually not in the hobby?

When they were wildcaught and brought to the US importers would classify them as G. rosea. 90% of the time the tarantula in question would be identified by locality if physical identification wasn't enough to go on and even then, there was question on whether this species carried 2 different color forms OR if they were 2 completely different species under the same genus. Grammastola rosea used to be classified as G. rosea "RCF" (red color form) and "PCF" (pink color form). Now, they are classified as two different species under the same genus. Grammastola rosea- which is the red colored rosehair. Grammastola porteri- which is the pink colored rosehair. There is a gray color form, as well but unsure what its classification is.
