My Lasiodora parahybana has never come out of her hide. She eats well and moves around in there but in the two weeks I’ve had her she hasn’t left the hide except when I redid her enclosure. I have read that these spiders are popular cause they spend a good deal of time out in the open? Temp is 72-74 and the humidity is 60%. Ten gallon tank.

I have heard that males tend to hide more. Could that be it?

Until my LP got past the 5.5 DLS she would stay down in her burrow almost all the time! She is now close to 7 or more dls and stays out on the side of the tank like an arboreal. Your spood looks to be in great shape and sounds like it's behaving as a LP would. Hope this helps! Happy Spoodering!

Every T is different. And as Tarantula Trooper says, many T's like cover whilst they are smaller & more vulnerable. For example, most T's are, at the least, semi arboreal when slings, no matter what the species. All of my larger adult LP's are constantly out, but it was not the case when they were smaller.
