Last fall I was out playing lacrosse with a some buddies and decided to show off a tad. Well, I didn't check myself and therefore wrecked myself pretty good. I ended up tearing my ATFL (anterior talofibular ligament) and my CFL (calcaneofibular ligament) which are the two main lateral supporting ligaments of the ankle. Not cool. Just had surgery a couple months ago and I'm currently recovering and finally going through physical therapy. I do not recommend that anyone hurt themselves like this. It ends up being 30days on crutches, 60days no driving since it happened on my right foot and 6months total recovery time...

8days post injury...

Post-surgery cast. On for 3weeks.

Cast off, boot going on. 1week on crutches before starting to walk again.

Remember to always check yourself! Don't make the same mistake as me!
