My White stripe birdeater (Nhandu Chromatus) has suddenly molted. shes only a sling so about 2 cm big but 5 hours ago she was okay running around. i wasnt home for 5 hours and now im back shes finished molting and is just out of the old exoskeleton. she didnt leave much room to molt and is quite cramped behind its water dish and the wall of the enclosure so i hope its okay. she ate a small cricket 2 days ago and is happy but this sudden molt has just kinda shocked me a bit. is it normal?

It’s fine, I’ve had t’s molt a few days after eating too. Wait for the tarantula to dry before messing with it.

Could you post some pics?

this is a photo of the sling. literally today before the molt happened i sprayed the corner of the enclosure as it was getting very dry. fed only 2 days ago. shes actuslly noticably grown alot. but this T's last molt was june 12th so just over a month. again, i assume a slings frequently molting is normal.

There’s no way a T could drown in a water dish that shallow haha.

Swap the water dish for something more shallow then. Poland Spring ones are very shallow.
