Just to be more specific, would top ventilation be sufficient for any species in the Theraphosa, Cyriopagopus, and/or Chilobrachys genera?

Sorry, not sure on specific genus, I'm fairly new to the hobby myself.
Personally, if I wasn't sure, I would go for cross ventilation just in case.
Hopefully someone with more knowledge of those particular T's will be able to answer. :)

I have not kept those species, but cross ventilation helps to dry the substrate so any species that prefers a drier substrate should benefit.

You should check out YouTube. I'm sure Tom's Big Spiders (Tom Moran) will have a guide on those specific species. You can also try The Tarantula Collective and The Dark Den.
