My Auratum has something on her butt.

Hey guys, like the title says, my B.auratum has something on her abdomen.
At first, it used to be just a dark circle (without the white); so I thought it was premolt and then this developed.
She acts like she is in premolt, slow, (but Brachypelma are slow to begin with); not interested in food.
She moves around every day from here to there in her enclosure as usual.
The white stuff seems "crusty", it's hard, I felt it using a stick.

Any ideas?

Will it die if I just leave it as is?
She won't stay still, she runs away whenever I touch her butt.
Any method/suggestions of doing this?
Try feeding it and drop water on it's butt while it's managing the feeder

That is one super docile T, I don't think my T will be as docile. We'll see,...
Please wear some gloves (vinyl type or food service as you want to be able to "feel" the T when grabbing it to prevent over squeezing and hurting it) to prevent having hurticating setae on your hands. Cheers.

It looks impacted to me. I'd use a cotton swab with warm water to remove it. Just as arachnoclown says, it may die if it's not cleaned properly or if it doesn't molt soon while it's on there.

Hey guys here are some pictures of what I did to treat my T.
First of all I did not have to pinch-grab my T; I thought of another way, I persuaded her to get in a plastic cup head first so her butt was facing me. This way, it was less stress on me and her.

She was really good and did not move at all in the cup, just couple flicks after some time of butt wiping (she had enough I guess).

I am kind of doubting that it is poo and if it is, I do not think the "poo" is obstructing the anus.

But what do you guys think? Still thinking it's poo?
Appreciate any feedbacks.

Perhaps she fell and has an injury under her exoskeleton? It definitely doesn't look like poo ti me anymore because the location is right above her anus and not on or around it. It is possible that when she molts it will go away.

Yea, I think so too. Not poo. Injury? that is a great assumption, I did not think of that. I am leaning towards injury.

Update on my female B. Auratum.

She molted today!
I found the molt inside her hide and it was still wet.
And her butt looks perfect!
No more white patch and her coat looks dark and bran new.

Her molt measures 6" or slightly larger so she's definitely over 6 inches.

I am now sooooo relieved.
Now it's time to look for a BF for her.

Anyways, end of update.

Thanks everyone.

Nice to hear. Sounds like she was already mature by your measurements. Auratum only get 5.5"- 6", they don't keep getting larger with every molt after maturing. They just change out their exoskeleton for a new one. You should look for mature male for her right now while she's freshly molted. Post some new photos of her. They’re one of my favorites. Here's my old lady...
