they have very high humidity requirements, they need to be kept very clean at all times, and in the case of mesomelas, they like it very cool, mesomelas are also very unforgiving, and will die without warning.
They require a lot of attention.
I agree, great pics Nada. I really like the mesomelas. I don't own any in this genus, but they definately seem like they're worth the extra work. I read that robustum has a strange defense with their back legs. Is robustum the only species with that defense?
Robustum have barbs on their hind legs and there are other tarantulas that share that trait, but the bobbing up and down, and spinning too my knowledge is an M.rob exclusive.
