Latrodectus hasselti this are closely related to the Latrodectus mactans. But a random thing a found interesting about the L hasselti is that to capture its prey in does not use its main web. It lay vertical web lay from the main web to the ground. These line of silk have the bottom covered in the spiders sticky silk, it lays down main of them and waits from the pray to get stuck to them. Does any one else think this is interesting, there are some many ways spiders hunt.

It is, in fact I've seen video of redback spiders with trapped snakes in that kind of hunting web.
