This is the current enclosure I keep my tarantula in. I was wondering if it is time for an upgrade or if it is okay to keep her in this size enclosure for now. I've been reluctant to upgrade her due to the fact that she stays hidden 99% of the time .

That isn't an LP... it looks like a Theraphosa sp of some sort. Not sure of the exact sp, but maybe others can clarify that. As for the enclosure, it looks good, I would just watch the height from the substrate to the top, as a fall with such a big abdomen can be fatal.

She definitely has ample space and I agree that isn't a L. parahybana. Do you have some close-ups of the tarantula?

I only know what the previous owner told me but supposedly she's a juvenile female LP. Like I said she hardly ever comes out and she's not very nice so I don't have any good close ups. If you think you can identify her from these photos go at at it, but keep in mind that she is a little overweight and her abdomen is pretty bald from her kicking all her hairs at me

I agree with octanejunkie. That is not a bad thing, though. You can still get yourself a L. parahybana and what you have now is a species that is more rare.
