Just ordered my holy grail tarantula!! (H. chilensis!!!)

Bless the instagram gods and Jamies Tarantulas. I am shocked I bought something so expensive on a whim, but I've searched for one on a near-weekly basis for over a year. I'll add pics when she arrives!!

Well, that's it. No more tarantulas for me, RIP bank account.

Thanks It's a 1.5" confirmed female. I am still mentally reeling from dropping that much cash with about 5 minutes of thinking about it, but I've compulsively searched for one over the last year and I knew she'd be snapped up instantly. I'm justifying it with the knowledge that people spend more on purebred dogs that come with vet bills and don't live as long.

Speaking of which, my cat and my car are not allowed to have any emergencies for the rest of the year.

I know, I know, and it’s only my 3rd! I passed up on a lot of T’s I wanted so I could justify this one though, it’ll be a while before I spend any more money

I think you made a good choice. It seems the H. chilensis is highly recommended and highly sought after tarantula. It is on my list too, but my state currently has limited legal ownership of tarantulas to a few species and H. chilensis is not one of them. Hopefully over time that will change.
