It's a girl

Well, I broke down and purchased a female G. rosea sling bringing my total to eight tarantulas. The little one arrived toasty warm this morning to Maine via FedEx.

Here's my first glimpse of her:

Here is what she looks like. She is about 1.5 inches.

She settled right in on the enclosure wall.

She is lovely!!!!!!!!!!!!
Although it is totally possible with the right equipment, I personally still find it quite difficult to sex (even with a decent molt) at that size. Who was the seller if you do not mind me asking?

I got her from Arachnoiden, a breeder based in Massachusetts. I believe he is connected with breeders in Europe. I have bought from him before, but your point is a good one.
