Is my tarantula going into premolt?

I'm new to tarantula keeping, so this might seem like a pretty stupid question to more experienced keepers, but can someone tell me if my Caribena Versicolor is going into premolt? It normally hangs out at the top of it's web tunnel (especially at night), but for the last few days it's disappeared down into the bromeliad it calls home & doesn't appear to be moving much. It has refused the last 2 crickets I offered it & I know that's always a sign. I just wanted to know if other keepers have experienced this & might offer some advice. Cheers

It certainly sounds as if it could be premoult. Just make sure it has plenty water available.

My concern is that most bromeliads benifit from a pool of distilled water in them!
