I got a tarantula in pretty bad shape. Lost 2 legs, and dehydrated when I got it. It seemed to be doing good but now only had 1 leg on one side of its body and lost another leg on the other side. Not sure what to do or if there is anything I can even do for this poor thing. Any help would be appreciated!

Providing a nice appropriate habitat to live in with fresh food and water is probably the most you can do rn
Is it a wild caught male?

No the person I got it from got it from said they got it from some breeder and they kept the poor thing in a tank with just dirty from what it looks like to be from outside and a very tall water bowl. They don't know how old it is or even what kind it is. The tarantula already had 2 legs gone and very dehydrated when I got it. I'm not even sure if it's a male or female.

Firstly don't give up hope. My M. Balfori lost both pedipalps and 2 legs on one side and a badly jacked up one on the other! I gave her pre killed crickets and she would eat! Provide water even if you have to dabble around the fangs. Two molts after the bad molt and my M. Balfori is a whole spider again and she indeed is a special spider in my collection! If you manage to bring her through you'll be surprised how their limbs regenerate!! Simply amazing! I truly wish you both the best!
