HELP: Curly Hair Sling Acting Like Depressed Teenager

I have a 1-2cm Curly Hair sling. I’ve had it for about 2 weeks. Preface, i am a college student and my professor randomly gave me a sling as i was leaving school. I kept it in its little sauce cup for a week. It ate 2 fruit flies. It was active and never really hiding. I moved it into its new enclosure after a week.
*The new set up is perfect so the sling literally can’t be stressed*
When i put the sling in the new enclosure, it immediately started working on its burrow. I’ve been watching it so i know exactly where it is. The hole is tinyyyy but i can still see in there a little if its daytime. i can see the sling move a little in the burrow but thats about it. I know they like to hide but for almost 5-6 days the sling has not come out or wanted to eat. I don’t know if it’s going into molt or WHAT!!
I’ve seen other curly hair slings on social media, and when they’re ready to molt they have a really big black oval on their butt. With mine the butt is kind of entirely like indigo? it looks entirely the same as a normal curly hair sling besides the butt not having the black oval. Help?

It sounds as though your little one is doing what Tliltocatl albopilosus do best, digging and making its new home just how it wants it.
I used to love watching mine busy underground, they will often dig to the bottom then the sides so you can see them busy in their tunnels.
Don't worry it will come out to eat although you may not see it.

Are you still feeding it fruit flies? Maybe try pre killing pinhead cricket and leave it outside it's hole if it disappears you know it's eating

yes i leave them on a very specific teeny tiny wood chip right outside the burrow. i did that 2 days in a row (removing the food after a few hours ofc) nothin. i just looked through the hole. It’s aliveeeee but the burrow is just as closed off as the last few days. no evidence of coming out. If that’s what the sling wants to do that’s FINE i just have no past experience to compare this to so i don’t want it to hurt itself lol.

Oh definitely! it chose the left corner closest to the sun!! my sling definitely has nice taste. should i try leaving food outside the burrow every single day until it eats or shows signs of molt? Because today is day 6 and i consider that an hunger strike lol. also, should i feed my sling at night or daytime? i usually feed in the evening but i can try feeding in the daytime or nighttime too.
Thanks for your reply!

I'd leave food every 4-5 days and anytime of day will do just remove after 24 hours if not eaten. It may be that it is still settling into its new home but it will eat when it's ready.
