I bought these two 5 months ago. When they arrived Mole was about 1 inch and Pip slightly smaller. They have both moulted 3 times since they came with Pip usually moulting before Mole. Pip is the tidy one whereas Mole scatters his substrate everywhere, filling his water bowl and digging down to the bottom of his tub ( typical untidy male). They are both around 4 inches now with Pip still being very slightly smaller.

My two l.parahybanas have very different growth rates. My first one, Charlotte, was this teeny tiny little thing, I actually used the tip of my tweezers next to her as comparison in a picture once. She has doubled and then tripled her doubled size in the time I've had her.
My Scarlett is a much slower grower. She is not significantly smaller than Charlotte, when at one point they were similar in size. It's weird, huh? They both eat well.

If they're same species and same sac, your wee one might be a female? I've had markedly different growth rates in females (slower/smaller) than males. Good luck either way. Lovely spiders. :)

That had crossed my mind as my larger one is thought to be male and does seem to be growing quicker than the other.

Mine aren't sac-mates. I've been waiting for a lot of my tarantulas to molt, is there a correlation between molting slowing down and colder weather?
