Hi
slings will take prekilled food readily.Just offer half ( or 1/3)worm and it should go for it.
I generally like feeding prekilled to my slings if I suspect moult could be happening soon as some slings have really short premoult periods.

I would personally say the worm is not too big. But it needs to be beheaded before being put in.

I feed all of my slings beheaded mealworms. It stops the mealworm burrowing, gives the sling a way into the mealworms soft inner & makes removing the mealworm easy. I have tried chopped up mealworms, but I find they tend to get lost in the substrate, whereas a whole mealworm tends to remain easily visible & often, but not always above the substrate.

The only time I chop up worms is when I am using Morioworms & even then I try to use larger pieces. Again, because it is easier to remove.
