Enclosure q - silicon

I'm thinking of making some enclosures and I hear if food grade silicon a lot when searching the net. I can get tubes of 100% silicon at a local store. Well that be ok, or does it have to be "food grade"?
I just want to make sure I'm not doing something that will hurt the T.

If it were me I'd ask a pet store about the best silicone to use...I haven't had any personal experience with the stuff but a store would hopefully be able to point you in the right direction. I believe some of our members make their own cages; hopefully they will also be able to give you more details. Good luck!

We use marine silicone in SA as it does not have any toxic chemicals and fungicides in the mix.
Basically if it is safe for fish it is safe for spiders.
