Do you need to treat water?

I'm getting my first T soon. A GBB, and I was wondering if you need to treat their water? I have used Reptisafe for my Hermit Crabs for over a decade. It says on the bottle it can be used for Tarantulas but I don't think I've seen anyone talk about this online. Not that I have come across yet anyway. Do you use a product like that or do you give them water straight from tap? Or bottled water? Thanks.

Nah in all seriousness. Tap water is fine, never had an issue. Buying some specialised baptised water seems like a way to cut through your wallet faster. Just use tap water ma dude.

I use tap water...Im lucky to live in Oregon and we have awsome water here. I fill up my container and let it sit for a day or two. All the chlorine will dissipate by then. Some places have nasty tap water though...I would just buy bottled water then.

I buy regular bottled spring water from Wal-mart. I don't specifically buy for my T's. I use the bottle water for myself mostly. I just use a bottle or two. Plus I use the caps for drinking dishes and sometimes use the bottles cut in half for rehousing and I even cut one up like a shovel for my coco fiber.

I use the 4L jugs of spring water at walmart - when on sale for less than $2.00 CAD, I stock up on it for all my pets. If it's cheaper than a single sized bottle of water, why not? But if I run out before a sale I don't lose sleep over it.

If you're super paranoid, you can buy distilled water. The small amount of water in a dish will age out the chlorine within minutes in my opinion. My fridge has an ice machine and water filter. I just use that.

I worry about the chlorine in the tap water here so I buy the cheapest bottled water I can find, I used to spend a lot on bloody highland spring but I’ve found dirt cheap water at a discount supermarket... It’s just my preference...
Same here, I just use bottled water. I don't trust the water where I live either. I have water purifiers but still don't taste right to me so I take the safe route and just use bottled. Considering I have 50+ exotics I already spend a fortune on feeders, so what's $5 more for water gonna hurt.
