Coco substrate vs creature soil

Hi everyone today I went to petco to get some coco substrate but they only had the huge bag, I only needed a bit so I got “creature soil” instead, perfect amount I needed. But is it ok for a T? I know in its previous enclosure it had coco substrate. Is my T safe?

Creature Soil is perfectly fine for tarantulas, so your T is safe Usually these "special mixes" from pet stores are just for making money. They provide nothing special for the tarantulas, but there is nothing wrong in using them.

Yes, it's good stuff. Just a little spendy for a small bag. Probably not that expensive if you dont have 400 plus Ts like me...

Thank you for replying fast! I was so ready to speed to the nearest pet store to get coco sub lol. I was just worried bc I got it a little chest to hide in and it just climbed up and hasn’t came down or touched the soil at all. Guess it just likes it’s new house

Yeah i only have the one and it’s only about 2 inches so I don’t need that much lol

Make sure you pack it down tight. They don't like to walk on loose substrate.
