Can someone ID this snake?

Saw it today while me and some friends were playing disc golf, any thoughts? I live about 30ish minutes north of Atlanta, we were in the Marietta area.

The pine snake description definitely seems to fit the bill...either way what a beautiful animal. Plus it gave me the pleasure of hearing a friend scream like a little girl and about piss himself [emoji14]

Reminds me a little of the emory rat snake, id need to see the head though. They range from brownish to greyish like that, and the pattern looks similar. Dont know if they range that far north of us though.

The head was definitely as skinny as the rest of the snake. Unfortunately it moved right as I snapped the pic so its head was hidden. It sure was a pretty thing though
