hi ! is it normal for tarantulas to not move much? my brachypelma is just on the top of her hide most of the time and she moves a few steps only. she doesn't go down much from her hide. is this normal? is this a cause for concern? she just stays in one corner. this is her right now. i'm just really trying to be careful, apologies if i'm a bit paranoid ><

also the substrate is now dry, it was a bit moist these past few days, i think it was the reason she doesn't want to come down even after gently nudging her. i saw her come down from her hide last night then climbed back up. how do i not stress her? i just changed her water a while ago. thank you so much ! sorry if i'm being paranoid T^T

Some are more lively than others. I have a Grammastola that hardly moves. I rescued her from a bit of a dodgy pet store. She is either on top of her hide or in front of it. I think your Tarantula is probably still getting used to her new enclosure and the different environment. I do think they prefer dryer substrate to walk on when they are no longer small. I think its best to let them get used to their new home gradually.
