I wouldn't mind keeping velvet ants. When I was in Texas we used to call them "cow killers" and they were everywhere. Here, in South Carolina, (I guess it's my locality) there aren't as many. What species are you currently keeping?

Thanks for the tag Octane!
I currently have five Veromessor pergandei queens, waiting on eggs for most/all of them. I have missed Pogomyrmex, Camponotus, and Solenopsis flights by a matter of hours this season, grr.

I'd love to acquire some Camponotus I will say, where'd you get your fragilis @Josh?

Thanks,

Arthroverts

they were lol! i ALMOST got it to work, but there was always that one worker that's like "oh hellz naw" and just rips the ca-02 apart. oh well lol
Ah gotcha. That's unfortunate, but I guess it goes to show that there is a reason CA-02 brood aren't found in absqultator nests, ha ha.
Are you on formiculture.com by the way?

Beautiful! There are so many neat species in Australia.

I'm on formi but I wanna start my own Ant Forum lol

It's an uphill battle to get a new forum started and going strong though, as I'm sure you are aware with this one.
