A quick beginner question

I got my tarantula 2 days ago (Gohma, my mexican red knee of 2 inches) &, I'm not sure if it's b/c she's getting used to her tote, she's not really moving around a lot. She ate a cricket the first night I had her, & ever since I got her some bark, she's been in it all day long.

My question is that is it common for this to happen to a spiderling or a new tarantula getting introduced to a new home? I'm worried, for some reason. I've always wanted one & I don't want anything bad to happen to her. Any tips on what to do?

Also, she's been moving around a little, but not too much.

seems normal to me. tarantulas are not know for the active life styles in fact a some species are dubbed pet rocks for this reason

also they are more active at night then during the day

Alright, thank you. I started to really worry about her. I kept telling myself it wasn't much, but I just couldn't stop thinking that something was wrong w/ her. Much appreciated, friend!

That makes sense..I work the graveyard, so I'm never at home during the night.
