    Poecilotheria regalis - new arrival

    This is my recently arrived P. regalis - she's lovely. Very active at night after midnight until almost sunrise - I have an IR camera on the roof of the enclosure and she's hunting most nights. Video of one night here:

    Got a shiny new macro lens to replace my dead one yesterday, so quickly got a few pics - all on Instagram B hamorii T vagans G pulchripes X immanis Waiting for a ring flash adapter to arrive so hopefully get some better ones when it does.

    My one has been in a burrow for 22 days now. Got it on 6th Nov - it walled up the front of the half pot, dug a burrow and has resolutely stayed down there. Presumably in pre-moult, so hopefully he/she will emerge a larger spider than when I last saw him. Lasiodora parahybana
