    Odd behavior

Our house is usually 55 F And rarely is it in the high 60F or 70F degrees. In the summer we have central air so the house can get chili. We keep our substrate moist (but not saturated) and his water dish filled. Can you tell me any signs and symptoms of a dehydrated tarantula? ...please don’t...

    Odd behavior

I have an update!!!! We have been watching our little guy and figured out what happened. We have a heating pad on the outer wall of his enclosure. It’s his favorite spot to hangout and nap. When our Smithi sleeps he is literally in a coma. He is a deep sleeper. Since his recent molt he isn’t...

    Odd behavior

He was on his back with his legs in. No webbing around him. He honestly looked like he went out for a night on the town...had too many and fell over. I wish I snapped a picture but my daughter was so hysterical I lost my opportunity. I have been watching him from a far to see if he does it...

    Odd behavior

OMG! This was very helpful. I am shocked they can molt so close together. Because of Covid-19 we have been feeding him big fat meal worms (keep longer than crickets) and now I am wondering if such a hearty meal is making him grow faster? I just recently ran out so he is back on the cricket diet...

    Odd behavior

I had no idea they can molt so quickly after a recent molt. When he molted the first time he built a web and flicked hairs all over it. Tonight he wasn’t on a web bed. We are keeping a close eye on him. Thank you for the information and answering my post....it means a lot. Thank you.

    Odd behavior

Our brachypelma Smithi tarantula molted about a week and a half ago. Tonight my seven year old daughter went into hysterics because she found our pet on his back with his legs curled in. We thought he was dead. We opened the enclosure and he jumped up and moved. Can someone enlighten us on what...

    B Smithi fanging acrylic tank

He is such a good eater! All ways eats the crickets. We give him 3 not all at once twice a week. He has a great personality and is always out and about. Just fangs poking out of his home freak me out. I notice a piece of bark chipped away too. Now he is into digging. Never a dull moment. .

    B Smithi fanging acrylic tank

We have had our B Smithi for only 3 weeks. We also have Chiquita (B Smithi) our sling for a month and a half. Having a teenager tarantula and a baby tarantula is extremely fun and entertaining. I think you may be right and it’s still a new change and Eric Cartman is just adjusting.
