It's a sac spider :) a male I think, judging by the pointy look to the abdomen. The little guy has no interest in the fruit flies I so lovingly procured, but I was able to get him to scavenge feed twice on some super small mealworms. Looks like he'll be able to hang around until spring with no...
It's not impossible, the color is right, but I'm not sure if it's going to darken as it matures. The legs look to be a little thicker than the sac spiders seen around here, though as small as it is, I could be mistaken about that. I'd like to find out more as it grows, but if I can't get it to...
I don't know if I should keep him. Once it's warm he could have a nice spider life, find a nice girlfriend and make some more cute babies. We'll see how well he does in captivity. If he seems really stressed and doesn't seem to be thriving, I'll have to release him. But maybe, just maybe, if he...
My boyfriend spotted what we think is a little wolf spider. It's far too chilly to take this dude outside, so I prepared a container and placed him inside. He's a cute little bugger. I can't help but wonder if he could be the offspring of Monroe, the male wolf spider I saved from my cats and...
It's already begun :) cute little thing. I'm going to clean up and heat sanitize some little twigs for it to play around on and web up.

Enn it is. It's hard to imagine that this little peach and black colored sling is going to become such a colorful adult. I'm so excited to watch her grow!

Once we move into a larger house in a few weeks, I will have far fewer reasons to exercise self control. With more space and a seemingly endless supply of roaches, there's no reason I can't bring home some more darling tarantulas :)
I also wanted to ask, this little T is nothing like a vitatta...
Financial restraints :) I only brought so much cash so I would come back with 1 and not 10. I just so happen to have an abundance of Blatta lateralis and my dragons aren't fond of them, clearly the only solution is to acquire more Ts next time!

I went to the Hamburg show, knowing full well I'd be coming home with a tarantula, but figured I'd find a nice little B. smithi or emilia. After talking to Anastasia for a while, she convinced me that I needed a GBB in my life. It's hard to argue with their beauty and voracious appetite, so I'm...
I'm so sorry Enn, every end seems to come too soon. He had a great life under your care. Rest in piece little Cayenne.
