Have not posted in a while, my T is still going strong.

Managed to grab a photo or two today. DoF is still very shallow, I really need to find my flash, but I managed to get a pic, slight dark edit for use as a wallpaper. I fed it a roach yesterday, it's just been chilling at the burrow entrance lately. This one really does not like a bright light...

Have not posted in a while, my T is still going strong.

Hey all, thought I'd post an update as I have not been active here in a while. My T which I got as a sling is still going strong. I have upgraded the enclosure a bit and it has plenty of burrow space. Nhandu Tripepii (Brazilian Giant Blonde) It is now also just over 5cm in legspan, thank you...

So I'm over a month into the hobby...

Ah thank you all so much. Yes it's about a 20minute trip, I'd probably keep it on my lap in the passenger seat while someone else drives. @WolfSpider, I like the new parent analogy haha.

So I'm over a month into the hobby...

Good day everyone! First of all, thank you for your awesome support thus far! So on August the 8th I got my first sling, a Nhandu Tripepii, or Brazillian Giant Blonde. At first, I was worried about the care and enclosure I was providing, worried about the humidity and temperature. After some...

    Proud to show-off our Vivarium

I'm also new to the hobby. The drilling work looks great! Can't wait to see more! Please post pics of the added cork bark etc as soon as you have added it :) How big are your slings more or less?

    Epoxy resin for preserving molts

So my GF and I got some resin from a craft store, it's designed for slow curing and flows really well, most of the bubbles rise to the top before it becomes tacky. It stays very fluid for about 40 minutes or so in our cold weather, heat helps it cure faster so the colder it is the longer work...

Tiny sling, any chance of determining the sex?

Good day everyone I know sexing T's when they are small can be difficult, but I'll take a chance here. Please excuse me if I am being way too optimistic. My sling has molted with the last 4 days, I lack the equipment to work on such a small molt so I tried my best to get some shots from all...

    Epoxy resin for preserving molts

How are you mixing the resin and hardener? I can see that there are way too many bubbles.

So I think my sling is in premolt!

Hey, a few weeks into the hobby with a sling(Nhandu Tripepii), it ate last week Saturday, now its refusing food and the abdomen seems much darker than last week. It's also just chilling in its hide but did walk around when poked. Think I'll leave it alone for a week or two and see how it goes...
