P Striata Patricia newly molted

I just pulled out the molt and cleaned up the cage earlier today.
Wow beautiful! Is the outside edges of the abdomen black/ hard to make out or your Ts abdomen that small? I know it’s after molt but it looks odd to me. Great pic!

She hasn't been fed yet. She's still hardening up. In general Patricia has always been a thin sling, long long legs built like a cheetah.

A thin abdomen is very typical after a molt. It's best to wait a few days. Even though crickets can't run up glass, I don't want her banging up her fangs. I'll probably try feeding her on Friday.

She isn't quite in the typical pokie stance which indicates that she is still hardening up.

The adult coloration almost reminds you of a hornet, totally stunning on a spider!!

She recently ate a cricket, abdomen is still a little small but not that much. Still, she's never been a chubby spider, built long and lean like a cheeta!!

Hopefully she's a Patricia not a Patrick but it's probably still too early to tell.

A new cricket has promptly replaced the vanished one, impossible to overfeed a sling.
