@Sarah77t - Welcome to the family of TarantulaForum. Adorable sling you have there, but you should change the gel to actual water (tarantula won't drown, so no need to worry about that). As far as I know, tarantulas can't use water gel because of the structure of their mouth and suction stomach. They don't bite and chew like reptiles, feeder bugs etc. do, but use suction. Luckily there is enough moisture in the substrate for the sling to stay hydrated :)
 
Thanks, I'll change it to water, I was told to use that gel by a place I thought they knew what they were talking about
 
No worries - You're not the only one here who has gotten weird advice from pet stores or so. We're here to help, not to judge :T:
 
I wasn't criticising btw sorry if that's how it came across. When told information from pet shops it's hard to go against that. (They seem to know what they're on about). The more you learn about this hobby the more you'll love it , welcome to the addiction :)
