Lasiodorides polycuspulatus sub-adult female

A contender for my favourite species. Beautiful colouring, extremely active and inquisitive. Just a ton of fun.

That is another incredible photo, PLEASE tell me you are a photographer by trade! If not WHY not!
If not no worries but I’d love to know a little about how you get such awesome photos, I’m not good with cameras but I’d love to know anyway, like is it with a flash or artificial light?

The eyes just fascinate me and the hair! I never realised Ts were so hairy until keeping them and seeing close up photos.

@Tabitha Thanks, I’m glad you find so much pleasure in the photo’s. I’m not a photographer, and I don’t own any specialist equipment. I use a Sony DSC-HX50 which, if you google it, you will find is a pretty cheap camera, around £200. The lighting is all done with the flash, I like the way it mutes the colours slightly.

For every ‘good’ shot I get there are probably 20 or 30 which don’t make the grade for one reason or another, it’s really just a matter of patience and persistence, and of course a compliant spider.

Thanks Mr Krowe, that is very helpful and very interesting information, I can’t believe it’s just with a flash, I find the colours so beautiful! The depth of field is incredible.
I have a Nikon and it’s a lovely camera, oops, bad camera owner...it’s a D3000 series..I think? but I’m a big novice, I have a friend visiting next week so will ask them for help because I would so love to get a photo even half as good as yours!
Thank you for your help and it is a massive pleasure to see the photos, I’ve studied them so carefully, to see them that close is such a immense treat!
