Wow, can't wait to see it fill out a bit more when hardened. Looks stunning. I want mine to grow up so quickly but they are not exactly known for speedy growth now are they....lol
@Phil Yeah, they grow verrry slowwwly! She was one of the first two tarantulas I ever got, and she's only 5-5.5" DLS. She's moody, but she's pretty so she gets away with it.
@Thistles. the exception to the rule then as far as temperament goes? Thats a shame.
I got a lovely little B. Emelia as my youngest (9 year old) was really taking an interest in my spiders (the others don't bother except when crickets are loose and then they scream the house down....lol). Anyways, got the small emelia, she handled her a couple of times, she moulted (the spider not the daughter) and now she is a lunatic (equally applies to the daughter that last bit), runs at you with fangs exposed (the spidef agin) if you try and pick her up now. I am hoping my pulchra will be friendly so she can hold that one instead..
@Phil Yeah, she's an oddball. I have a few others and they're all docile as can be. She's always been a sassypants, though. Well, not when she was tiny, but since she was about 1" she's been, shall we say, sensitive to invasions of her personal space. Hopefully yours will behave!
@Casey K. Yeah, she was on her back when I went to bed last night and I took the picture in the morning. I liked the contrast of the white fangs against her shiny black self.
