I think he was a little scared to be out in the open
Had a big bottom for a long time and still eating well, not had a molt from her yet as and had her 6months or so, fingers crossed it will be soon
 
Make sure her substrate is moist and humidity is elevated when she starts fasting. Avics tend to have bad molts (in my experience) when environmental conditions are dry. Mine have gotten "stuck" while molting. Not saying this will happen to you or that you don't take care of her. Just a little advice. :) I would mist the cage at least 3x a week to keep humidity levels up. She's a big healthy girl!
