It can be stressful for them as they do not need to be handled or want to be, they get nothing from it except the weird feeling of skin which they aren't used to but as a keeper I know you want to be able to bond with them like any pet :) it's just a shame they don't understand.

So where are you from? Are there lots of places to get Ts? :)

Yeah they don't understand but it's still worth the effort :p

I'm from South Africa and came across this pet store that sold all sorts of awesome animals, found this store by absolute chance :) what about you?? :)

Hi I am Amy. I have had my T for over 7 years almost 8 now. She is a Chilean Rose Hair, and she has been fed strictly crickets her whole life. She is very friendly and loves to walk all over my mother in law and my arms and shoulders.

I also have a 1 year old rat named Trixie, I have had her for 8 months now.

I was advised against handling this breed of spider which wasn't gonna b an issue in the first place.... lol but ya. Why is that? Can they rlly hurt u?

@Redslither Poecilotheria along with most other Old World tarantulas have a venomous bite that can cause some discomfort.

I too was frightened of spiders when I got my first T, now I love my Ts and can tolerate them on me but I still hate the spiders loose in the house.
