Aw yay!

Also Nightmare before Christmas is one of my favorite movies especially since its appropiate for TWO seasons/holidays. And since you named your tarantula my idea, I am getting two surprises in one of my order, so once I know what they are (its a legit surprise surprise, won't tell me until I get them haha) you can have similar rights :)

Fair warning I tend to lean towards the odd or unusual. :p.

Hah, no worries. Most of mine have odd/unusual names too. There's Ninhursag, Miwi, Venom (okay not so weird), Octavious (again not so weird but also kind is), Rajah, Dorado and Balthazzar. Skell went to a mentor/acquaintance/friend on Saturday.

G pulchra juvenile (looks girly not molt confirmed yet squeals!) - Ouro is Portuguese for Black.
M. balfouri - from the island Socotra in Yemen, one of the popular tourist attractions there are the Dragon's Blood trees, so why not call this one Dragon? or maybe Draco. Not to mention the blue dragons are one of my favorite from way back in the old D&D days ;)
Phrixotrichus scrofa - From Argentina, can name it Chalten after the popular tourist attraction Mount Fitz Roy (Chalten is the native indians name for it) or maybe Iguazu after the famous waterfall there.
Phormictopus cancerides are from Haiti, you could call it Marie-Jeanne after the famous cave.
GBB from Venezuela so maybe Mochima or Altamira after a couple of their national parks?
P regalis from India and they have tons of odd names if you're going for landmarks or something to do with India ;) or you could do a common name for us, Amber, after the Amber Palace.
