I bought this fella over the weekend labeled "Gray trapdoor". I've been studying and studying, but can't figure out the species.....any ideas?

Actually, the female can grow to just under 1 1/2 inches (1.3 or 1.4).
However, if your guy/gal is at 2", and a juvenile, I agree in that it would seem unlikely that this is a Seqocrypta jakara.
The quest continues.

It could be full grown....the woman I bought it from really didn't say....i guess I just assumed....All the others she had were slings. It was labeled "Gray trapdoor" (captivity)

Identification could prove quite difficult... or is rather difficult. It is a shame that the seller didn't state anything, with re. to identification, beyond "gray".
My only other thought, at the moment, is that it could be a Cyphonisia sp. "(?)".

Wish I could be of assistance on identifying, but have no experience with them. Congrats on the new addition though! A trap door is definitely on my wishlist.
