Hmm I've had that shell for a long time and I have scrubbed and cleaned it well. I don't think any salt will come out if it.

New house! I used a shallow shell as a water dish. What do you think?
I have to say, compared to my A. versicolor, she eats more.

Don't think they will get type 2 diabetes put it that way. I think salt can be dangerous as it dehydrates most living things....unless you are nemo. :D

salt in quantity is bad, it's a cheap effective pesticide ;) If you're really worried about the shell boil it for 10 or so, a soft boil, and it will be fine. Used to do this with the decorations moving them from salt water to fresh water tanks way back when i was into the fish scene.
