Rest in peace for the tarantula you sound like you loved him so I'm sure he lived a good life, my tamest has are young and I'm pretty sure my b. Smithi is a female as her abdomen is twice the size of her carapace however I'm a bit iffy on my porteri. Either way good luck anti hope you buy a new tarantula that will live up to your past one
