I have fed my 1/2" L.parahybana fruit flies (which are my very first tarantulas)and they each sucked on one fruit fly for hours. is it normal to take that long?

Fruit flies are too small, go for small crickets it'll take em down no problem, of your really worried you can squish the crickets head before you drop it in

They will grow faster off crickets. You may still need to pre kill them for a molt or 2. Fruit flies also lack an important nutrient but im drawing a blank on what it is lol

B. latteralis nymphs also make great sling food. They are my feeder of choice for most T's
