It's not unusual, it may still be settling into its new home. Leave it a few days and try again.

Looked like that granular cork is why I asked lol
And yes, could be pre-molt or just full, being picky or not completely settled yet. im guessing it's still getting settled as you've not had it long. Does your baby have access to a water dish and a place to hide?
They like places to huddle up under to feel secure, even a plastic aquarium type leaf works. Small piece of cork etc.
