I had a book lice problem in one of my ant nests I'm pretty sure I got them all, are they a problem for tarantula enclosures?
I had some people tell me they are okay, but they get out of control quick.

Never heard of book lice becoming a problem for tarantula enclosures. What kind of ants do you keep?

I keep a few different species. Camponotus, Lasius, Crematogaster, Myrmica, Formica, altogether about 20 small and average sized colonies.
I still haven't seen them anywhere but the infested ant nest, which I have drying out.

I've often thought of starting an ant colony. Must be interesting to watch them.

Yes they are awesome to watch and care for, but there are so many aspects to their survival its sometimes hard on the head.
