I thought it time to celebrate these beautiful Ts. Let us know which baboons you keep and tell us how often you see them as we know how they like to hide away.

This is my list:-
Ceratogyrus darlingii (East African Horned Baboon)– regularly seen
Ceratogyrus marshali (Great horned Baboon) – still tiny and burrowing
Ceratogyrus meridionalis (Zimbabwe Grey Mustard Baboon) - regularly seen
Encyocratella olivacea (Usambara Black-femured Baboon)– never seen
Heteroscodra maculate(Togo Starburst Baboon)– seen more often now its’s getting bigger
Heterothele gabonensis (Gabon Blue Dwarf Baboon) - regularly seen
Pterinochilus lugardi ( Fort Hall Baboon)– rarely seen
Pterinochilus murinus Usambara (Orange Baboon Tarantula) – rarely seen
Stromatopelma calceatum (Featherleg Baboon)- seen more often now its’s getting bigger

I have a Ceratogyrus darlingii and Pterinochilus murinus.
I haven't seen C darlingi at all since it was very small but when it molted it's out in the open a few times a day. If not in the open, usually I see it's legs at one of it's tunnel entrances.
P murinus is always out, never tried to hide, always webbing, then tearing up what it webbed, then webbing it again hehe.

Hmm. P murinus, 3 matured as males and I never really saw them until the end. I bought a wild caught AF marshalli a few years ago, she never showed herself either unless not given a choice. She was gorgeous, and had a huge horn. When housed on shallow sub she webbed like an obt, but stayed visible. I really liked her, and I'm not a fan of many old world spiders. She passed sometime between my juvie P antinous and my juvie B albiceps. All sexed females. 2016 sucked. -.-

Heteroscodra maculata. My first old world species. It was missing a few legs when I got it and it is still a small sling. Had molted once but no regrowth yet!

Harpactira pulchripes - Have a couple, of these, and it is rare that I do not see them. Seems they are out, in view, 98% - 99% of the time.:)

Monocentropus balfouri - Do not have, yet, but should be here this week. So looking forward to it!

Need to get more baboons!:T:
