I have been given adult chillie rose. I was told she is female. She's not very active. Doesn't seem to be bothered by being handled. Any advice ?

Cheers

Tarantulas aren't the most active pets. give her a water dish and some time to acclimate to the enclosure. Our chalchodes became considerably more active a week after we received it and started moving soil and laying down trip lines in its enclosure.

that species is called a pet rock by some for a reason. they will commonly sit in one spot for days, and sometimes fast for months. tarantulas in general do not like being handled, it stresses them out. they dont have the intelligence to learn to like someone either. best of luck with your first T and dont be afraid to ask any questions. :)
