I think I'm going to check it out. I'm looking to add some new additions to my collection, and though I have some species in mind, I'd like to be able to browse a bunch of Ts in person and see what catches my eye. Even with the expo prices, I figure it'll probably balance out by avoiding...

I'm about an hour and 15 mins from the expo so it's not too bad but would rather not go if there aren't many Ts. Wish there were more local places to find tarantulas.

Anybody going to White Plains next month? I've never been to the expo, what's the T selection like? Going through the vendor list the only one I can see that definitely sells Ts is NetBug but I assume there are others?

    GBB molt..it’s a girl?

This is my first large enough and intact molt from any of my slings/juvies. What do you guys think?

    G. Pulchra slings

My two pulchra slings are doing the same, I wouldn’t worry. Small slings will often burrow. I have caught mine above the surface a few times but mainly I don’t see them. For feeding I have been cutting up super worms and leaving a piece for each sling. I’ve seen them scavenge those. Eventually...

    Enclosure Inspiration Thread

Yes, mainly it's good for sculpting a rigid structure like a cave or something like that. I do have a tiny bit of dry, loose excavator clay at the bottom mixed with some regular sand as a substrate. But I don't think this would work for burrowing species...it'd just cave in. And certainly I...

At last count, how many tarantulas are in your collection?

    I have 9...all unsexed slings/juvies except an adult G. porteri which I haven't owned long enough to determine the sex. 1 x Grammostola porteri 1 x Caribena Versicolor 1 x Chromatopelma cyaneopubescens 1 x Euathlus sp. red 1 x Acanthoscurria geniculata 1 x Hapalopus sp Colombia 1 x Lasiodora...

My first T - Green Bottle Blue

Excellent choice for a first T. Out of my small collection, my GBB is easily my favorite to feed. Always hungry, and almost always hanging out in the open. Enjoy and Happy Birthday!

    US Casey K's Tarantulas Review

Just echoing everything that has already been said in here. This was my first time buying from Casey but I had zero doubt that it would be a smooth transaction. Great packing and I even got an extra G. pulchra with my order. Will definitely be keeping an eye on Casey's stock for future...

    Tips on superworms please

I've been using worms lately as they're much easier to keep than crickets. But I have the same problem with burrowing. People say to crush the heads. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but either I don't crush the head enough and the worm still burrows, or I crush the head too much and the worm...
