Hey everyone I posted about my avicularia avicularia pink toe tarantula because it doesn't seem to like it's enclosure much. I had it in an all mesh enclosure which I switched to an all glass reptizoo enclosure with mesh top. Seems like it still doesn't want to climb on the plants or wood and...
I have another arboreal enclosure by reptizoo all glass with mesh top I was gonna rehouse it into if it didn't like the new setup which it doesn't but I do believe it's in premolt. Its abdomen has a black spot on it looks like a dark bald spot but has been this way since I got it. Should I rehouse?
Update: I've taken the tape off and I don't mist the enclosure too much anymore but the T still doesn't want to come off the door of the enclosure for a second it seemed like it was hiding behind the moss but came out and stays on the glass. I tried tong feeding it a superworm seemed interested...
Mine has done it since I got it about a month the abdomen does look pretty dark but I'm not sure if it's just the color of the T's abdomen
or if it's a bald spot
Thank you I'll be sure to try when I get back I was told by someone in a group chat that they could get stuck and lose a leg on the mesh but I'll take the tape off and add some more bark!
Hey everyone I recently got my first arboreal tarantula (avicularia avicularia) pink toe tarantula. Since I got it over had it in a mesh arboreal enclosure the mesh is taped up from the inside to prevent the T from getting stuck on the mesh and to reduce water evaporation. Since I've had it the...
So I'm kinda worried for my little tliltocatl albopilosum (curly hair) T. Ever since her burrow got destroyed she's been acting weird she won't burrow anymore doesn't like any hide I put into the enclosure and will sit in the corner and dig little by little everyday sometimes she's won't move...
Thank you so much I did what you suggested by cutting their heads off and leaving them in the enclosure. i went to work I just got back and both Ts ate their super worms I left in the enclosure. I was starting to think they were stressed
Here are my Ts and their enclosures I'm not sure what gender they are as they haven't molted yet since Ive had them. I've been feeding them crickets until now I'm trying superworms I keep them around 70°F to 65°F at 65% to 70% humidity. The A seemanni drinks lots of water and has lower substrate...
Hello everyone I've been in the hobby for a few months now. Im not sure if I should worry but I have a tliltocatl albopilosum and an aphonopelma seemanni both refuse to eat the superworms I got for them they have only been eating crickets since I've had them until now. My T albopilosum has...
The wood chips were in the temporary enclosure while getting the permanent one setup. No worries the T only spent a few minutes in the woodchips then was switched to cocofiber
