    Tylobolus from Fresno California

This millipede was caught in Fresno California. They don't seem to mind being picked up gently. I caught five of these and they mated in my tank above ground with no shame. There is one in my tank that is a bit bigger than this one but I think this is normally the full size. I almost felt bad...

    Millipede enclosures?

The millipedes did indeed bone. I have a lot of small ones now. I have no idea how many are in there but I'm gonna have to excavate my tank before they over crowd. If anyone is interested in trade for some let me know. I can get pictures. When they come to the top there is so many of them. They...

    Did you have a winter?

Here in central California it is almost summer but it isn't even spring yet. I think we had about three weeks of winter if not less. It's looking like another hot dry summer full of fires. The forests lost over a million trees last year. The bugs seem to be happy about it though.

    Millipede enclosures?

The ones here I don't think eat anything but leaves and rotten wood. I give the ones I keep vegies but they eat them completely. I never see the ones in the backyard leave the leaf litter area and I have a lot of garden vegies flowers and whatever near them. They are never found in the garden...

    Webbing

Here in central California they seem to be able to live for up to 3 years in the back yard. Most probably die in 1 year. Indoors they may die a lot faster because its always warm. This is just what it seems like from watching the tons in the backyard. The ones here go from red to white as they...

I just lost a few brain cells after reading this

This is because industry and medical science is aiding in the deterioration of homosapien genetics.

The only part of the bill of rights that hasn't been stepped all over is the housing of troops in a home without owners consent. Gun ownership isn't a right because what it says is that the militia being necessary to insure a free state the right to bare arms can't be infringed. The militia was...

    Hello from California

I came to look for info on centipedes and millipedes. Just started to mess with the local ones about a week ago. Got my first two centipedes a few days ago. So much easier to live with than dogs and cats heheh

    female black widow toxicity

My brother and two others got bit by black widows and they said it was painful for a day or two and they felt like being on lsd a bit. None of them went for any medical treatment at all. No idea what they did to get bit. I don't think they would bite you unless you accidentally stepped on one or...

    *Grumbles* My centipede went missing

Got me nervous enough. I've never had a centipede but caught two tigers a few days ago when looking for millipedes. I notice they shark around under the coir so it is hard to know if they are there or not and I'm not filtering the substrate. I'll have to wait for the explosion of coir when they...
