Hello,
I have had a C. Versicolor sling for about 6 months now, and it is about 1.25"- 1.5" / 3-4cm, and I had it housed in a tall plastic cup until now when I felt it was too big and it became dangerous to feed it without risk of escape.
So, I purchased an Exo-Terra Nano Tall enclosure, which...
I live in Finland and acrylic enclosures are impossible to find, with the only option being ordering with shipping costs of over 50+ euro, wondering if anyone knows any good sites for enclosures besides tarantulacribs
Also sorry for replying so late.
From my limited knowledge on jumping spiders and some research I don't see any other species it could be than a Pius considering its color and region. :D
Hello,
The easiest way to tell the sex is from its molt, check for the spermatheca, it's a flap in the top middle part of the abdomen molt. If the flap is there, it's a female, otherwise, male.
I'm really sorry and frustrated to hear what your father did, how is a fly any less ''disgusting'' than a cricket. Sadly, I have not heard of a cure or treatment for DKS. Sounds like you should have a serious talk with your dad. Best of luck.
I havent seen any glass terrariums here in finland for under 100 euros. Even the plastic one I have atm cost 40e. Anyways we got out of topic of the OP here!
Yes sounds about the same size, 30cm x 20cm x 21cm is what I have as well, however mine's a plastic cheaper terrarium as I'm on a smaller budget atm but will definetly upgrade! :D
Hello,
In my opinion that tank looks a bit big and too cluttered. I personally have my 4y female B. Hamorii in a 5gal / 20L tank, and even that is slightly large for her. T's dont need/like a lot of space from my knowledge. I am also still an amateur however so please listen to others as well.
